Ice Storm 2009

We have had a terrible ice storm this week in NW Arkansas. Most of the entire area is with out power included us, Our electricity went off Tuesday morning around 11 a.m. and is still off went got our generator out and fired it up and we closed off our den so we had a small heater, one lamp, and TV, we were making it pretty good til we had not a had a hot meal or a hot shower since Monday so we packed up and came here..........We ate at Wendy's for supper and got to our hotel room and all had hot showers we felt like new a family....

We have been blessed that we are were not hurt or nor was our personal property but we sure don't realize how electricity, hot water , whipping up a hot meal so forth are so in tuned to our everyday existence.

Well I got to get up and get the kiddos around , we have to go to work. Please pray for all of the men and women who are working so hard to get NW Arkansas back to normal.

We have a monogram Bug!!!!

My mom made me this purse for Christmas and I had it monogrammed.

She also made K this one and I had it mono too...

Bought this one for K on eBay for Valentine's for her party. As you can see its monogrammed too. Thanks Apey78.

My mom made this dress also, It is above all my favorite. I am blessed to have a mom that will and can make all the beautiful things I see...We are snowed or should I say Iced in and the electricity just went off. Please pray it comes back on quickly. But at least I can still finish this post(Laptop and Wireless Internet) except they just don't last.:(

Super Sunday

Well I have had a house full of kids.......Dallas, Ethan,Jake,Kaylee all weekend since Friday night..They have ate, ate, ate, slept..ATE some more. We have had a really good time with them but goofy me did not take one picture. I have to get better at taking pictures. They grow up so fast. Ethan is talking like a big kid now even (cursing alot) SH**!oh SHOOT he says real quick. It amazes me how little kids talk with all of the vocabulary and just know when and what to say when they are talking to you....





I signed up for a Valentine Card Swap so I made my cards today. I was pretty pleased with them. I can't wait till I receive mine in the mail 20 or so that's going to be fun to work all day and get some pleasure out of the mailbox!!!!!!!!!!!





We have a busy week again,

Happy Inauguration Day

The President's call for responsibility and service ultimately rests with each of us as Americans. Let us look ahead and find a way to succeed in our ambition for a more perfect union instead of reasons to fail. Let us reject the divisiveness's of blame. I hope we all can rise to the challenges ahead and accept the President's call to service. I didn't get to watch today but what little bit I saw when got home was a great speech this morning.

C is for Crafting

I have gotten a few projects finished this weekend . Here's the frames I embellished for

the grandma's and aunts of the family of the kiddo's school pic.

Here's my monogram post it note holder I made for myself for my desk at work. I got this idea
from my crafty sister. PTO president at the junior high at our school ask me to coordinate a gift Christmas gift for the teachers, I had a budget of $1.00 per teacher that was it so, I made these for 55 teachers and faculty for our junior and high school staff for their Christmas gift. I had a couple of moms lined up to help me but, I was solo except for Jake, he had stayed after school so we whipped out 55 of these in 2 1/2 hours start to finish!!!! Thanks, Jake

Here's another project I copied from my sister, this cross. She's been collecting crosses for awhile, so I have just started to really enjoy them myself so now I am collecting crosses too and am starting a cross wall like my sis....

This is my next project to start a monogram pillow with buttons...I having a peeping tom????Or perhaps a little helper.........What's your next craft?

Sad Saturday

Please remember John Travolta family in your prayers and thoughts today. Their 16 year old son Jett died yesterday. You really don't think to much in everyday life in all the celebrities and people that are part of your growing up. Like John Travolta for exaplme, when I was a teenager his movie Urban Cowboy. I remember thinking this morning when I read the news of his son's death, I was crazy over him when I was just 16 or so...

Also, today is the day for taking down Christmas stuff and cleaning our house try to get everything back in order one of my resolutions is to keep my house in better order we are that family that kinda lives my the seat of our pants hahahahah.....As you can see by the pic below I will be that kinda girl probably by 2 p.m.
