Happy Father's Day

I hope every Father had a wonderful Father's day ....We did Michael got a movie and cards from both the boys and me......We just stayed around the house today....We did church this morning... then after lunch, we swam and then I was reading the paper and in this day and age blended families are very common I came across this poem....

Not Her Father
Hey, it's really not "your day."
I just don't know what else to say
Because, you see, you're just a "step,"
You're not her dad-you're just a "rep,"-
A stand-in really, rest assured
you're only there to be endured.
OH! Unless she needs a ride,
or someone there to take her side,
And please have money you can lend;
'Cause that's when you will have a friend.
She's not your daughter, though, be clear;
You're not her dad, just someone here.
There's really lots for you to do;
And you get all the "good jobs," too;
You get to worry when she's late,
Pick her up from her late date,
Comfort her when she's in tears,

Even though she won't love you.

And see my daughter doesn't stray

She won't admit they're for her sake!
She thinks stepdads just aren't "fun,"

To see that she's got all she needs!
Father's Day? Nah, she won't bother
Thanking you- you're not her father!
So let me do it in her stead,
As I have done since we were wed.
Thanks for all the things you do,
And all you-are I love you, too.

Quiet Saturday

My car the air conditioner is on the blink....I had a appointment Friday morning to have her looked at....they called her name and took her back and told me I could set in the waiting room I felt kinda like I was in the hospital with a loved one waiting results for something then about after 20 minutes the mechanic (aka the Surgeon) came walking up the long hallway he said I have bad news she's in bad shape a whole new air conditioner for the grand amount of $1200.oo I just about had a stroke...She's only worth about $3500.00 so it could be a long hot did I say long hot summer .......We went car looking today that is one job I do not care for looking for a good used car....We didn't make any head way I am not going to fret over it........Ethan (my grandson) is going to spend the night with us...We played in the pool this afternoon.....the I did the weekly Wal-Mart trip...then I brought home Sonic for the kids, Taco Bell for the hubby, and Chick-Fil-A for me...we had a pretty nice end to a good day....Everyone have a great day.

Soap Opera

I am a Soap Opera nut, I absolutely love General Hospital Here is the famous Luke and Laura Love story saga for over 25 years and this is Robin Scorpio she grew up ...I have watched it for years I know it is bad for me and I shouldn't watch it but I just love it Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan they are just bad boys they are just cutiebuttooties ( I think I may have just created a new word...they are like gangsters on the show ( The Mob) really whatever that means and then there is Alan and Emily Quartermaine they have been killed but their ghosts are still on the show helping their loved ones make decisions....Emily even found her own killer for Nicholas Cassadine....On another note I have not watched any reality TV shows but we did start Can You Duet on CMT it's pretty good I am sure I will get into more realty TV shows this fall ..Well that is enough of my ramblings hope everyone has a great Tuesday

Grandchildren

Here is my grandkidlits, Kaylee is 4 years old and Ethan is 2.5 years old. They have such different personalities....K is total drama queen she talks "whinese" quiet a bit....E is total all man's boy he loves his daddy's truck (Hon kin big dodge with big smoke stacks)....K and E are a true gems to have as grand kids....K lives with us full-time.....and we get to see E every other weekend.....Their pics are Easter 2008 and May 2008....Well i better go and get ready for bed I have a big birthday party for my son Jake he turned 12 this week...I will post his pic and blog about his party next...Have a blessed day

Summer is Here

It's Summer at our house as you can see we got the pool up and running, I finished up the vacuuming today it was I mean stinking cold,"brr brr brr" but the kids kept on wanting to get in so I let them and as you can see there is no certain degree for them Kaylee 's (lips was purple) but she insisted it was warm oh how kiddos love the water....Also on another note starting a diet again.(It's Monday)...I am going to try to do Weight Watchers this time hey I can do it...Have a Blessed day
